Xxola

Xxola is a female, black, Labrador retriever and was born on May 18, 2007 at Lackland Airforce Base. She was part of the TSA puppy program and was specifically bred for explosive detection work. This program was part of the National Explosive Detection Canine Team Program (NEDCTP). I was paired up and graduated with Xxola from the NEDCTP at the end of 2008. My partner Xxola and I worked at both Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport for Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department. Over the past 10 years we did countless searches to include high level politicians, celebrities, aircrafts, vehicles, luggage, cargo, terminals and warehouses. Because of Xxola’s friendly disposition and small stature we did most of the canine demonstrations for the schools and children’s groups. Xxola loves people (especially children) and loves the attention. Xxola passed all her annual evaluations and has had a long, remarkable career.

Unfortunately, because of her age and developing weakness in her hind quarters she had to retire in April 2019. Xxola is enjoying her retirement at home, and without a doubt has earned it. To make a donation towards Xxola’s medical care or to the care of any of our retired K9 heroes follow the link below, thank you.
