Xxylon is an eight-year-old chocolate Labrador who has seen (and sniffed) a lot in his canine career. He began his training in June 2011 and was assigned to his first handler working in Anchorage, Alaska, as a police dog a few months after that.

As Xxylon’s training progressed he was paired up with his 2nd handler in Seattle, Washington before being assigned to me in San Jose, California, his final handler and forever mom. Xxylon and I worked in San Jose, CA from August 2017 to November 2017 before transferring over to sunny San Diego, California.

After working at other airports on the west coast, Xxylon and his handler Danilo were happy to be working at the San Jose International Airport. Xxylon worked at the San Jose International Airport as a Passenger Screening Canine (PSC). Nicknamed “X-man,” he has an excellent work ethic and travelers could regularly be overheard commenting on just how “cute” X-man is. Xxylon worked into the holidays screening passengers before he was relieved from his job duties in March of 2020. Xxylon is currently enjoying his retirement by relaxing at home with lots of  belly rubs, some pizza, and long walks.
