CASA Book Drive

Paws of Honor and CASA have teamed up for the month April for our very first Paws of Honor Children’s Book Drive to honor K9 Chessie’s birthday on April 15th!

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a national nonprofit organization serving the best interest of abused and/or neglected children in the juvenile court system. They provide the possibility of every child’s voice to be heard while standing up for their right to a safe and stable home!

YOU can help Paws of Honor and CASA shine light on Child Abuse Awareness Month by purchasing “How I Became A Hero: Chessie’s Story” via the link below to be donated to a national CASA location. Chessie’s Handler selected CASA of Northeast Tennessee as the recipients of this first Book Drive!

Our goal is 300 BOOKS to be purchased for donation by the end of April! One for EACH of the children in the books age range (3-12 years) CASA of Northeast Tennessee serves!

100% of the proceeds from each book purchase benefits the retired military and law enforcement working K9s enrolled in The Paws of Honor Veterinary Care Program! What a great way to honor not only Chessie’s birthday but his legacy!

Can you help us reach our goal?!! We can’t wait to share what we have in store if so!

Court Appointed Special Advocates® (CASA) are community volunteers, just like you, who stand up and speak out to help children who have been abused and neglected. So with your Purchase of “How I Became A Hero: Chessie’s Story” Children’s Book from Paws of Honor you are NOT only helping a Child you’re Helping a Retired Canine Hero!

Our goal is 300 BOOKS to be purchased for donation by the end of April! One for EACH of the children in the books age range (3-12 years) CASA of Northeast Tennessee serves!

Lift Up A Child’s Voice, A Child’s Life.

CASA of Northeast Tennessee is a Nonprofit, Community Based, Volunteer Service Organization that has worked with the Juvenile Courts of Johnson City, Washington, Greene, and Unicoi Counties since 1986.

We believe that every child has the right to thrive in a safe, stable and loving home. Dedicated volunteers are appointed by the judge to advocate for the safety and well-being of children who have been removed from their home because of abuse and neglect.

Our goal is to provide a CASA volunteer to 100% of the abused and neglected children in our community.
